I downloaded the WD Access installer (WDAccess_Updater_for_Mac_1.0.4.219.app , which is dated 5 April 2016). The installation shows quickly a window saying “Installing WD Access setup” and after a few seconds goes away and nothing else happens. And obviously nothing was installed. I have tried to install it with the firewall turned off but I had the same unsuccessful result.
Any advice is appreciated
If you haven’t already done so, use the forum search feature to see the various recent discussions on WD software having trouble with Sierra 10.12.6. Perhaps there is a solution (other than waiting for WD to fix their software) to your particular issue with WD Access.
