I bought a wd live plus and I updated it yesterday and since that time I can’t get it to work. I start the player and it will show me the wd logo on the tv at the beginning then it goes to a black screen and won’t actually boot and it won’t turn off. It just sits there with the logo on the player lit up. I have tried both composite and hdmi. I have tried resetting it which doesn’t seem to do anything. I doesn’t even flip it off quick when I reset it. I have left it unplugged for a while. Nothing works.
Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

Just in case…
When doing a hard reset with a paper clip in the reset hole, it only requires a brief press…
You could also try reloading the current and/or an earlier firmware version according to the WD directions.You need to make sure the process is not interrupted.
