Im trying to upload to my SMP like others have done but im getting an error
I downloaded the zip and extracted it.
Went into the “Black Mamba by DeVicious V1.0” folder then rezipped it as black Mamba.zip – then tried to upload via chrome and I’m getting error message “Invalid file please correct file”.
On the SMP at the Home screen the time & temperature (no icon) are show in the botton right hand corner of screen, but on other views they are shown either in the bottom right hand or top right hand of screen with an icon. Is this happening on the HUB also, if so can they be shown in the top right hand corner for all views.
The link works fine and has worked fine the entire time, probably you had an older upload in your browser cache. if the link still seems broken for you hit “ctrl & R” on a German keyboard this would be “STRG & R”> * * *
I don’t understand what you mean by properties
those are regular JPG files 72dpi 240 x 366 pixels
the download worked. the theme is great. thank you.
by the way, you’re right. I am looking for the best resolution for display of the “cover art” / “album art” for CDs. The display is in “now playing” pixilated (artifacts?) Do not know the correct name in English. Perhaps you have a tip?
Maybe 300x300 72dpi or 240x240 better for a good Cover (high quality first).

With the first update the start page will be interactive, include the games and rss and some other stuff. just bear with it for the moment, 2 weeks and this will look different

the goal is to get the highest resolution possible, why stop at 300x300? :-), I wouldn’t do anything as of yet since a friend of mine is working on a solution for Audio Covers
I worked that out with some help from another member here.
I put the image and screenshot folders and all the xml files in a zip file and uploaded via chrome. That part worked.
I deleted the wdtv folder from my USB HDD and then went to the player itself.
I selected appearance and could see the black samba file there so i selected that and installed it.
I didnt get any noticeble change of appearance with the black backgrounds etc. The UI was still the stock looking one.
Although now when the player starts i get the normal “WD Live” splash screen and a few seconds later as its going through the start up process i get the “WD Live Hub” splash screen. How do i get rid of that and why wouldnt the theme have changed?
again I wouldn’t have a clue because I know absolutely nothing about your SMP device, may I suggest you look that up in the appropriate forum as i can only answer questions for the WDTV LiveHub or things that are related to the theme. Maybe Rubicon can help you in private message, as far as I can judge from the quick infos i gathered the installation process of the theme is completely different from the live hub. Sorry I can’t help you a little bit here, i just don’t know.
as updated in the original post… check out This Thread for CD Covers, Artist Covers, Folder Thumbnails etc…
you won’t need xml files with this theme but it doesn’t hurt to generate them anyways. I just generated covers for 600 folders in less than 1 hour and it works super fine. Give Drizzt Kudos, it is my understanding that he wrote that tool himself.
you are using the wrong flags, that’s why it says in the instructions to copy the common folder into the templates folder and accept to overwrite the files. During the time themers have changed the flags because they didn’t know how to change the path in thumbgen designer, my common folder will bring yours back to the original state + some extras
I have noticed there is no cover where it is supposed to be. this might be the way your common folder is setup or it’s based on the file name. Rename the file to
How.To.Train.Your.Dragon.DVD.avi
or
How.To.Train.Your.Dragon.Bluray.avi
or
How.To.Train.Your.Dragon.HDTV.avi
or
How.To.Train.Your.Dragon.BDrip.avi
and the cover will show and it will add itself to thumbnail if you are selecting the Movie Thumbs template as an extra sheets and rename it according to the instructions… The covers make a huge difference in my opinion and basically all you have to do is to include the “.bluray” somewhere into the file name.
I didn’t have a common folder originally so the only folder in the TEMPLATES folder is yours. so thats a odd one.
my filename that movie is named
how.to.train.your.dragon-dvdrip.avi
thanks.
strange indeed since those on your moviesheet are not even in my common file this means something is there in the path where the original files should be, in example
VideoFormat Name=“xvid” Text=“XviD” Image=“%PATH%..\Common\video_format\xvid.png” is for the xvid flag
as long my common folder is in the Thumbgen Templates folder your moviesheet is literally impossible, you should check that again (common folder goes into thumbgen/templates)
the movie should be named how.to.train.your.dragon.dvdrip.avi (it needs the period)
