i have win8 AND BRAND NEW 4GB WD BLACK
My computer finds the harddrive but when i shall initaite itstands i/o error.
What can ido?

It seems that its a physical, or partition issue due to which data is not getting stored. And recommended to check the health of drive using data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool.
