I’m a newbi. Could somebody please walk me thru the steps how to change the settings on my ‘My Book Essential’

from automatic backup to (simply) manual back up.

You mean manual backup  like copy and paste or that you want to tell the software when to do the backup?

I am talking about eliminating automatic backup and resetting to copy and paste (only).
