I am changing my older EX2 with 2TB drives to the EX2 Ultra with 4TB drives. Can I take one of the 2TB drives from the older NAS and slip them into the new NAS and will it copy all the files and then remove the older drive and slip in another 4TB drive for Raid backup?
You may want to ask, if you haven’t done so already, in the dedicated OS5 EX2 subforum where users more familiar with the EX2 Ultra may be able to assist.

Easiest way is to connect both drives to your network and copy all the files from the old NAS to the new NAS using Windows file explorer. It will take several hours but it will be a “clean install” of all your files.
Yes, thanks it did seem to work better using a Windows PC. Seems there may be a setting in MAC OS that causes the error message.
