How to update the firmware on WD20EARS?

I’m having some problems with my WD20EARS siks when installed on my NAS.

It appears to be a device error. I’ve read somewhere that this can be solved upgrading the firmware, but:

  1. I can’t find an updated firmware anywhere

  2. how do you update the firmware any ways? Do you need a boot disk I suppose?
