How to torrent anonymously using My Cloud’s Transmission App?

So I love using the My Cloud EX2’s Transmission App for downloading my torrent files. However, it is becoming more and more important for me to remain anonymous when downloading. So what are my options…?

I have been told that VPN is not possible with the My Cloud EX2… is that true?

What about using a proxy directly in the Transmission App?

What about any other option, like encryption, etc.?

Please keep in mind that I am only interested in downloading torrents using the EX2’s built-in Transmission App I would rather not have to use a BitTorrent Client on my Mac.

It’s true VPN is not supported by Ex2. Also, Transmission App is a third party application, to know about using proxy with the application you need to contact the app manufacturer.
