How to share My Passport in local network by plugging it to D-Link 825 router's USB port?

The disk has been charged - so USB power works ok. But it’s not visible from router admin console, saying “no connected storage”…
I don’t want to share my disk via its own Wi-Fi.

Is this a My Passport WIreless drive? If so you don’t connect it directly to router USB. Check the drive’s manual for how to connect a MPW to home wi-fi and to network.

Try this manual, I think it starts from page 56. Yes sometime sharing files/movies through Wi-FI is slow rather connect it directly to your router. Or you can also get a WD My Cloud :slight_smile:
