How to see total host writes of my hdd

Hi. I have a 1-TB Western Digital HDD in my desktop. I believe the model no. is WDC WD10EZEX-00WN4A0.

I have installed CrystalDiskInfo to see number of total host writes, basically to know the overall usage statistic of the drive, but where it should show me total host reads and writes, it just shows dashes. Is this information available anywhere? Thanx in advance for any help.

(Sorry I´m not sure if this is the right category or not…)

Hi @JeffyB,

Have you opened a Support Case? If not opened, for more information, please contact the WD Technical Support team for the best assistance and troubleshooting:

Hi. I have not opened a support case. There is no problem with the drive. It is working fine. (Except that my computer has Windows 10 and temporarily hangs due to hard disk activity, but that is probably because Windows 10 is supposed to be used with an SSD, I guess.

I just wanted to know if there’s a way to see the total amount of host reads and writes basically to know how much I’ve used it and to know how far along the drive is in its lifespan.
