How to restrict access to certain folders?

Good afternoon all, I just recieved my WD MBL 2TB External Hard Drive.  I finished transferring all my music, videos, and pictures to the shared folders, correspondingly (pictures going in to “Shared Pictures” and music going in to “Shared Music” etc…  When I access the hard drive from any computer connected to the router, I am able to view all the contents of each folder and so forth.

My question is, how do I restrict access to certain folders/sub folders?  For example, I have a folder in “Shared Pictures” labled "My Pics’.  How do I make the folder “My Pics” available to me, but restrict access say to my dad’s computer or any other computer on the network?  I dont think i’m understanding the concepts of the users/shares yet.  I’ve been on the phone with tech support and im tired of hearing the **bleep** waiting music.  Can someone help?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

You can’t.

Everything in a specific share has the same permissions.

If you want to restrict access to particular content, you must create a separate share and put the contents there.
