How to repair bad sector count for WD RED

HI,

My 3TB RED is giving me a bad sector count from within my Synology NAS.

Is there any WD app I can use to run a diagnostics?

I only have a laptop, how do I connect the HDD externally to it?

Hi ,

I suggest you use WD’s software DLG to test the drive.

If is a current pending sector, running a full erase with Data LifeGuard should force that sector to be replaced with a spare one.
