How to recover deleted file on MYBOOK LIVE

I mistakenly deleted a file on My Book Live. I use MacBook Pro. The deleted file did not show up in Trash folder.

Can any one tell me where the deleted files go and how to recover it?

data recovery software will show you where the deleted file is, and if it recoverable or not.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to use data recovery on the drive as-is. You’ll have to disassemble the drive to get the HDD out and connect it via a dock or directly to your PC.

The software will need to support EXT4 Linux partitions.
