How to map a drive using WD DIscovery?

Hi all,
I am trying to map a network share into a drive (letter) using WD Discovery.
Adding the public share is no issue at all, but adding my personal share is not successful so far.
A colleague told me that he only succeeded once using the identical login details from his PC on the Cloud (so the account on the cloud needed to be setup identical to the PC) but is that the only option?

When entering the credentials (login and pw from the cloud) during the process, it keeps returning as if “not approved”.
Anybody any idea how to map when the user is setup differently than the pc?
Regards,

Here is a link to information I hope will help. This comes from the Knowledge Base.

Hi,

I already got the public to work (this manual refers to the public also) and that is the easy part (took only a minute), my problem is the “user” one (so in this example “Jan”).

I would like to create a drive for that section also, but it does not allow me to do so.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what that is.

Anyone has any idea?

Regards,

Hi,

I forgot to thank you for your effort, I am sorry, I am gratefull.

thanks cat0w

I did some additional digging on the forum and found:

http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-My-Cloud/Can-t-map-to-Private-Share-in-Windows-Explorer/m-p/628315/highlight/true#M2075

This helped me connect to my “user” section in the cloud after deleting the previous mapped drive, removing the history, rebooting etc.

But as my link to the “public” was disconnected, I tried setting this up again.Initially this failed.

I then added Public again to my mapping but this time using the same credentials as for my personal one.

Result:

I now have both drives mapped
