I have a 10 TB G-Raid Drive and want to lock it do no files/folders are deleted or changed. I see there is a lock mechanism on the back of the drive but how do I activate it?
Is this what you are talking about?
@greenmentch
If yes, I believe this is a way you can connect a security cable etc. to keep your device from being stolen. I have a similar slot on my laptops. See this example from Dell.

Have you checked on WD and looked for information on your device such as a User Manual?

Yes, that’s it. I guess I thought it was a different kind of lock! I haven’t found anything on how to lock files however.

I own My Cloud devices so I suggest you open up the Community and scroll down to the sub-forums for your device and create your topic.
