How to know if RAID system is working?

So I have the WD Mycloud EX2 Ultra system. It has 2 hard drives in there and it should work by being mirrors of each other so if one fails/breaks, the other one works. How do I check if it is actually mirrored? How would I know if one fails besides seeing ‘Healthy’ on the platform?
