How to hide WD My Cloud of the network?

Hello,

Wondering if its possible to hide the storage device from the network? As when I open up the device without logging in, it displays the folders within the drive but need credentials  to access. I would like to hide the drive completely to enter the address instead to gain access or hide all the folders.

Sorry for the delay in reply, should have mentioned what operating system I’m using!

I’m using Windows and Mac :)

Onlly way I know how to do that would be to hand-edit the Samba configuration files and make the device non-browsable.

What’s the advantage of making it “hidden”?
