How to get metadata for files the media library couldn't find?

Is there a way to get the Media Library metadata for files that it couldn’t find on its own?  It was unable to find several of my files.  One sugguestion I’ve seen is to rename files that it couldn’t find, but I’ve got all my files named to a specific convention and so that’s really unappealing.

I guess, specifically, is there a script or program that can be run outside of the WDTv to generate the metadata files?

You simply rename the search name when the get content info fails to find the media. This does not change the file name just the search term. You enter the box to the right to edit the search name when the search fails.
