How to format MyBook World Edition?

Hi,

This is my first post and would be greatful of some help. I have a 1.5TB MyBook World edition network hard drive.

I have a MacBook Pro operating OSX 10.8.2 operating system.

I have never been able to set my WD network hard drive properley so would like to completely remove from my MacBook and also clear the WD drive to allow me to start over again.

Any help will be great.
