How to force e2fsck to run?

I’m getting this message on ‘dmesg’ at time my MBWE is booting:

EXT3-fs warning: maximal mount count reached, running e2fsck is recommended

And would like to do that checking.

BUT HOW?

You have to unmount your partitions before you can use ‘e2fsck’ or you need to run it when booting.

Method described there did not work - http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-force-fsck-on-the-next-reboot-or-boot-sequence/

Device just rebooted like normal and did not checked anything.

Suggestions/ideas would be great…

Did you ever resolve the issue you were having?

No.

I’m not actively using My Book World anymore.

Instead I use My Book Live, which is much cooler (better hardware / faster / much more easy to compile things directly).
