How to fix bad sectors that are in my WD passport

Hi,

I think my WD2500BMVS has got some bad sectors on some areas cause it’s corrupting my data everytime I move/copy data from it to another Hdd… I’ve even used different Usb cables, no luck. It’s also giving me ‘I/O device error’ during the file transfers…

Any idea what’s going on over here and how do I fix it? Which WD softwares should I use to fix this issue? Plz help…

The I/O error is normally related to either the drive USB port , computer USB port or cables. Test your drive using a different computer if you get the same issue then the drive is faulty and needs to be replace it.
