I have a proscan 42" lcd fed via hdmi fromt eh wd tv playing video ts files. All movies play, but can not defeat captioning on the tv, no option to do so for hdmi inputs. What to do to defeat? Can’t turn off via ccd button on remote . Thanks

where your video files are located…is there any files/directorys with the SRT extension…
if so delete them (after backing them up in case you WANT them later)…
had a phillips box that would always play the subtittles no matter the settings…this solved it
