How to continue backup to additional files

Hi

This is my first post and need help

I have backedup over 500gb of data on to a 4tb Mycloud. However I have had a major problem that caused Smartwarew to need reinstalling. Now I can see this backup as other backups or additional files. Is there any way to retreive the old back up to continue this or do I have to start again?

Have you looked under the Help tab in WD SmartWare for information?

Have you used the drop down menu to choose the share you placed it under? See image below.

The data shown on Smartware is available through explorer etc. but I would like to continue backing up to that block without having to backup everything once more. The area of data is greyed out in the Smartware share and the Brian share. Is this possible?

SmartWare should pick up where it left off.

Hi Thanks again.  However smartware only sees a greyed out block listed as additional files. As can be seen below.

Have you looked under the information button for more information? See image below. Reading all the information should help.

I’m not sure if this is connected but the Quickview icon in the notification area does not respond, although I should say most of the time it does not. I did find that reinstalling Smartware that it hung on the square splash screen for many minutes before it moved on. I have removed Smartware and reinstalled yet again but still the same delay etc.

Any help will be gratefully received. Still waiting for a response from WD support.
