How to connect via ethernet to mac pc

How do i access my cloud mirror gen 2 via ethernet on my mac pc.
I had connected via ethernet cable but i am unable to access the device. my mac is running on latest os 10.13.5

WD recommends to connect Network Drives, My Cloud Mirror device with router which then connects with PC in order to access data. However, you can also check after connecting My Cloud directly with PC using Ethernet cable.

You may follow below steps to connect it:

  1. Connected Ethernet cable from My Cloud (MC) to MacBook (MB).

  2. I couldn’t connect to MC in Finder.

  3. Restarted MB while Ethernet cable was attached.

  4. Finder connected to MC.

  5. Access data of My Cloud .

I followed your procedure via cable but didn’t work.

I even restarted the mac but couldn’t find mc in finder.
