How to boot Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H motherboard with WD HC310 HDD in AHCI mode?

Hello.

We have Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H motherboard. After we installed the WD HC310 (0B35948 HUS726T4TALN6L4) HDD and initialized it in Windows Disk Management - the MB freezes during POST in AHCI mode. IDE mode and RAID mode work. Also if the HDD is hotplugged after POST in AHCI mode - it also works. How do we fix this so we can boot in AHCI mode?
