How to Backup a Macbook that is not connected to LAN

I have searched everywhere but havn’t found a solution yet.

Is it possible to back up a Macbook automatically via timemachine if it is not connected to the LAN network. For example through a wifi connection?
An iPhone backups fine with the app on the phone when not at home. Now I want the same with my Macbook.

Hoping to hear some suggestions

There is no way to backup any sort of computer if is not connected to a Home if it is not connected to the home network. It is best to have a separate drive to connect to mac to backup to.

I thought it would be somehow possible because you can back up your photo’s from your iPhone without LAN as well. I already have a seperate drive to backup, but wanted to use the My Home Duo as a second back up.
