How many users and groups?

I am considering buying a My Book Live 2TB for data sharing and backups. We have around 50 users and need about 12 groups. Is this a suitable solution?

We are a mission hospital in rural Uganda. We need to keep it simple.

Well, as far as I know, there is not a limit of users that can access the drive at the same time.

Get a second drive as a back-up to the first!
