I have a Passport Ultra. I made a backup using the WD Backup software on my Vista machine. I want to put this backup on my new machine which is Windows 7. After I install the Backup software and create the backup program, I go to Restore, but it only shows the backup I just created. It does not show the backup from my old machine. Manually I can go into the drive and see the backup from my old machine, but I don’t know how to get it on my new machine. Any help is appreciated!
Hi, if you used the WD Smartware you can manually go into the hard drive and search for your files.
I’ve done this, but the files seem to be encrypted or something? How do I open them?
