Did you check the recycle bin?

You’re going to have to provide a lot more detail about what you did and what you’ve tried…

this is my external hard disk. So there is no recycle bin.

google … ‘free data recovery software’

but note … data recovery requires another hard disk to recover the data to.

eg. if you’re wanting to recover say, 800GB of data … then you’ll need 800GB of free space on another hard disk to recover the data to.
