How do I make another "timemachinebackup" folder

I was having problems with TM running out of space and locking up. I had to re install my OSX - Mavericks. I also went into my WD passport 2TB and deleted the TMB folder. Now I can’t add a new folder…or I can…but it can’t be seen in the finder along with public. me, and smartware.

I need to restore it so I can start using on my Macs again. When I go into TM preferences, it wants to use public as my backup-TM folder.

How do I solve this?

How are you connecting the Passport unit, is it connected to the computer directly or to another device?
