How do I know if my Hard drive is stable?

I have a: G-Technology 6TB G-DRIVE USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive. (bought July 2017)

I have been using Back blaze to back up files from this HD and my mac, however I get a lot ‘Safety freezes’ (Which means… Backblaze detected a major inconsistency between the data on your computer and the data on the servers, and “froze” the state of your backup.)

I’ve spoken to them and followed all the steps Back Blaze suggest to solve this multiple times. Now they say that my HD might not be stable and to get it tested…

I only bought it in July and in all honesty, it seems to run absolutely fine other this issue. How can I test if my HD is stable or not? Is there any software I can use? I really don’t want to have to take it to a technician if I can help it!

Thanks in advance.

The software we usually suggest using is benchmark software to check the consistency of data transfer rates.

AJA system test of Black Magic are our recommendations. You can get them both from the App store.
