How do I know if my dealer has detected the hard drive back to the factory?

I bought an WD GREEN 3T drive from the dealer online. But he mailed it to me, and it was a bad one. He said he was required to go back to the factory for tests. How do I know he actually sent his hard drive to the factory?.

Generating an RMA through WD either on the support website or with the help of agent is required in order for a hard drive to be received and replaced by WD. Ask for the RMA number in order to verify the status.
