How can I upload folders from my computer?

I got My Cloud today and I am trying to upload my folders. What is the best way? I read somewhere that WD SmartWare can be used for scheduling the backups. Is it free? Are there any other options available to upload the folders or backup hard drive?

Map the MyCloud shares as network drives in your computer’s file system, and use your normal file manager.

You can use any backup software; you do not need to use WD software.

Hi, I am using free file sync. Requires some getting used to it then its a breeze. But yes learn about mapping your drives first. This can be tricky especially on windows.
