How can I stop the wdphotodbmerger & wdmcserver?

Since I buy the My Clould Ex2, they always take high CPU use, can I stop these processes to improve the performance?

Hello,

Most likely the system is trying to create thumbnails of the photos.

In ideal situations, it should die down once the thumbnails are all taken care of.

Another user has posted a way to stop this processes via SSH. keep in mind this is not supported.

Except stop them manually, is there any method can improve the performance? It is quite slow now.
