I want to store video footage, documents, and photos on the same external hard drive so that I can directly read and save files whether I’m editing videos on my Windows PC or my Mac.
Format the drive as exFAT.
Thanks for the suggestion! If I format it as exFAT, will I be able to read and write files directly between Windows and Mac without needing to install any additional software?
Use exFAT for the drive. Both Windows 11 and Mac can read and save files to it without any extra setup. It also works well with large video files making it a good choice for storing videos photos and documents on the same drive.
