How can I remove the software of Passport Essentials Portable Drive?

I like to back up my files manually rather than using WD software.  WD software first does not fully backup, second it takes a lot of time to backup, third it takes a lot of space.  The software is absolutely useless.  I prefer to use the portable drive like a flash drive so I can copy and paste my files.

Can I just select all in the drive and delete everything?

Yes, the Smartware install files is only supplied on the drive to save you having to download it from the website. And if you decide you do want it again, you can download it from there anyway.

You will of course also need to separately uninstall anything that you have put on your PC as well if you want to get rid of it actually running too.
