I have a 3T My Book USB drive and I would like to connect it to my wireless ethernet router. It is it possible? If it is, what is the best way to do it.
The easiest way to connect wirelessly would be to plug it into an old laptop, and set up file sharing on the laptop.
If you’re looking for a more elegant solution, it’s probably buying a new router which happens to have a usb port intended for sharing a hard drive.
Either way, you want the hard drive wired to the router really, as wireless is unreliable and slow. Otherwise there are probably usb to ethernet adapters, but I’d expect them to be expensive and unreliable.
