MyCloudHome Duo connects to my laptop automatically without entering a login.

Should a third party need to use my laptop, I do not want automatic access to the files on the NAS to be accessible without an initial password authorisation.

I tried un-ticking the “start at system start up”, however once I click on the WD icon, it will open the drive without a login required.

How do change the settings to require a login for the initial connection to the Home Duo?

I will want to ensure the same for my windows laptop as well and my Mackbook pro device.

in WD discovery go to the menu and log out. this will unmount the drive. you will need to log in using your email and password before the drive will mount again.
