I have a WD My Passport and a My Book HD’s nether of them will time out. This has been going on for a while. I have run the SFC scannow in safe mode and DISM so it downloads from the web. These did not repair the problem. The mother board is rather new and the problem existed before installing the new MoBo and is still there.
