I just bought WD Elements Play 1Tb External Hard drive. Can i use this hard drive to backup Non-Multimedia files from my computer ? Mean to say that  Can i Do backup the whole hard drive of my computer internal drive to this WD Elements Play 1Tb External Hard drive and plug this to my TV  and just play the Multimedia files?  

Please help me on this doupt. Thanks…

Thanks for the info Toney,

I face another problem that whenever i connect this 1 Tb drive to my computer, My USB wireless hub disconnected and also revice info  that /$mft file from this drive can’t be stored and ask me to store someehrewr else… Not sure about it. Did anybody face this kind of issue… Please advice what to do on this… I am Afraid of lossing data once copy to this drive…

Will it create any issue if I save my Video files from my  DV8 (Cassette) CAM  directly Capture to this 1TB WD Element Play drive  and Edit from here using Video editing software?  Thanks in Advance for your help…
