Help with using ONLY the USB 2.0 on a My Book 3.0/2.0

Hi,

I just got the My Book Essential USB 3.0 / USB 2.0 and I’m trying to connect it to my PS3. The thing is, the PS3 doesn’t support USB 3.0 - only USE 2.0 - so I’m wondering if there’s any way to force the drive to use the USB 2.0 interface. I’ve connected a micro USB 2.0 cable to the drive but the PS3 still seems not to recognize it (works great with the PC).
