I can’t get my cloud to work in finder.
It shows under shared but i can’t access it (just get connection failed), there is no eject button either.
Try manually mapping the Public share using AFP, SMB, or CIFS:

I have managed to click on go>connect to server and connect by entering the IP of the router.
I still have WDMyCloud as a shared device i can not connect to in finder and above it the ip address which connects.
What have i done wrong?
Generally for the Mac one can connect to the My Cloud using one of the following methods. Substitute your My Cloud name for “wdmycloud”.
afp://wdmycloud.local
smb://wdmycloud.local
cifs://wdmycloud.local
