Help with power USB C 3.1 Solution for SSD Drive

Hello Forum!

I have the 2tb G-Technology G mobile SSD and I use for video editing. I’m hoping to find a solution and recommendation to purchase a Power USB C 3.1 hub so I can power the unit on and off and not yank it out of the computer each and every time I use it. As you know it does not have a power button, also give it just a bit longer cord, the cord on this thing is very short. I also want to be able to plug in the backup drive as well. Tech support said that this may effect the speed and efficiency of the hard drive.
