Help! Wd security cant find my attached drive

I got myself a My passport wireless pro model WDBSMT. I installed the WD drive utility and security but both program cant detect my attached drive. Meanwhile WD Backup program is able to detect the device.

I just wanted to password protect my device when connected via cable but those two programs cant even detect my hardware.

Anyone please help?

Hi lyonong,

Unfortunately, WD Drive Utility and WD Security are not supported by My Passport Wireless Pro device. But you can lock or unlock the drive against USB connection which will protect the device on any unauthorized usage. You may refer below KBA’s for further details:
