Help, update crashes my MyBook!

I just finished installing the update for my MyBook Essentials (Windows Release and now every time I open it I get an instant “encountered a problem and needs to close.”  Is there a way I can roll it back or what in the world happened?  Don’t want to buy a new backup drive at this point.

Try to uninstall the WD Smartware, restart  your computer and then install the WD Smartware directly from the update that you downloaded from the WD Website.
