My encloser plug in broke on my ebook so put the HD(which is ok) into another encloser but my com won’t reconize it…any help plz
Whether you actually make use of the password feature or not, any of the password-capable drives store the data encrypted on the drive. There’s a chip in the external case which handles the decryption, before it passes the data along the USB bus.
I suspect this is why your drive can’t be read – your other enclosure isn’t doing the decryption of the data.
