Help please. WD MY passport 0748 not working

Hi

My 0748 hard drive stopped working. the led indicator doesnt light up. tried to connect a different hard drive using the cable. cable works. updated the driver. The drive doesn’t show up in the data lifeguard. I have all my crucial data in thsi drive. is there any way this can be retrieved? any help will be greatly appreciated and highly valued
