I am unable to connect my WD MyCloudEX2 Ultra to my new Windows 11 Home edition PC. It is connected to my Android tablet and phone and to my Wife’s Windows 11 Home edition.
I know that by default Windows Home edition does not set all services and network parameters required for my NAS to connect to the PC. However, can’t remember what parameters I need to modify. Can anybody provide me with a list of changes that need to be made to Windows for it to connect?

Is the My Cloud EX2 connected to your router? Is your computer connected to the router, and does it show in your list of devices? How many devices can be connected to your router?
If you have a network and with all devices on and connected try a reboot of your computer and see if the My Cloud shows after the reboot has completed.
Here is what shows on my desktop computer for storage. The My Cloud EX2 belongs to my daughter and shows under storage. I have the two WDMYCLOUDS.
Many thanks for the suggestions from Saudade and cat0w for the link and suggestions.
My new PC is running Windows 25h2 (Build 26200.8875). My NAS is connected directly to my router - as it was with my old Windows 10 PC. I can see the IP address in the router list of devices.
I’ve determined that the problems were caused by a Windows update after turning on the PC for the first time. I’ve since done a clean install after which I was able to access the shares on my NAS after inputting the username and password credentials. I created a restore at this point in case something went wrong.
I then installed the Windows updates individually, restarting the computer each time this was required before installing the next update. That seemed to work.
The only problem I am left with is now is that after installing Norton 360 I lost connection to my NAS, with the same error message as previously, as well as the ethernet connection to the internet.
I spent a frustrating afternoon with Norton tech support who failed to solve the problem. They didn’t check any of the Smart Firewall settings to see if there was as issue and after faffing around for an hour uninstalled Norton 360 to solve the problem.
This clearly was not the case as after uninstalling Norton 360 I still could not reconnect to my NAS or to the internet via my ethernet connection and the support tech told me the problem was not caused by Norton 360, despite the issue occurring immediately Norton 360 was installed, as uninstalling remove all changes Norton 360 made. As a solution they offered me their “Ultimate support” at GPB 99.99.
I did a restore of the system and now have everything working again. However, i will NOT reinstall Norton 360 until I know why it causes the problem, which seems to be an issue with changes Norton makes to Network Discovery through its Firewall in my version of Windows 11.
If anybody has a solution to this issue I would appreciate hearing about it.
