Just for a week i cannot use my passport WD what i did is i Update firmware “My passport Essential SE” , after that i noticed everytime i try to plug in to my USB port in my laptop , i having a hardtime just to detect it, some more it hangs, and im receiving error message " The disk in drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now? "
Is there any software to recover my files or something like a WD Firmware FIXER … Thx
Sound like data corruption to me, to recover your files you can use recuva and then format the passport to use it again.
