Just got this My Book Essential for XMAS, already having probs - it would not accept my password after rebooting so I removed and re-installed as the help mentioned - now the Drive settings icon won’t allow me to access - any suggestions?:mansad:

I am assuming you have the My Book with drive lock LED which give you password protection.
Using WD SmatWare software under Settings tab, you can “erase” the drive to clear the password.
However, all your data will be lost and will re-format to NTFS for Windows and HFS+J for Mac.
